Membership Requirements for joining Columbia Basin Dog Training Club...

There shall be two types of membership. Regular membership is open to all persons eighteen years of age and older who are in good sanding with the American Kennel Club and who subscribe to the purposes of this club. Regular members will have all the rights and privileges of the club including the right to vote and hold office.

Junior membership is open to all persons seventeen years of age and younger. Junior membership and will have all the rights and privileges of a regular membership except that they will not be able to vote or hold office. Junior members will be subject to dues of $10.00 per year.

While membership is to be unrestricted as to residence, the club's primary purpose is to be representative of the breeders and exhibitors in its immediate area.

Dues. Club dues shall be $20.00 per person or $30.00 per family per year. These dues are due the first day of January.

Election to Membership. Each applicant for membership shall apply on a form approved by the Board of Directors and which shall provide that the applicant agrees: to abide by these constitution and by-law's and the rules of the American Kennel Club. The application shall state the name, address, and occupation of the applicant and should carry the endorsement of two members in good standing. Accompanying the application, the prospective member shall submit dues payment for the current year.

All applications are then filed in the Club membership notebook. Any application can be given to any current Board member and reviewed at a meeting of the Board. Upon recommendation by the Board, application will be read to the members present at the next general meeting. The application will be voted on at that Club meeting by secret ballot and affirmation votes of 3/4 of the members present shall be required to elect the applicant.

Applicants for membership who have been rejected by the Club may not reapply within six months after such rejection.

The applicant shall not be present during the voting on his or her membership.
